So I get a party in Korroloka Tunnel last night...GREAT right? Wrong, my party decides to take on worms in the cramp'd area that you link 4 at a time doing. So our first tank leaves, no biggie I am a great tank I hold agro and dont take much dmg...Well our rdm who is a complete bumbling idiot casts Diaga on 4 worms....which in turns gets me and a blm killed.
So we get a smn/whm in the party who actually knows how to play but it takes 30-45mins just to get me raised and back to the better part of the tunnel....THEN one of our blms thinks it'd be cute to aero seekerbats while EVERYONE is about 20-30% on mana....Ok so I die again, this time only me.
Finally get raised AGAIN and we start once more...Now things are flowing pretty good because I am a great tank and the smn/whm was a great healer BUT then everyone started to leave and they recruited a pld...Bad move imo since the pld creates SO much downtime and only had 2 extra def then me plus used mana to hold hate where I only have to voke+boost...I can even keep all hate off the PLD...The problem is PLDs think they are THE Tank but at this level I can completely outtank them and save on the downtime.
In short I got HALF of level 19 last night when I should of been level 20 after 2 hours....I am so sick of pathedic parties when will I get my chance to shine in a good one? |

So I got i a pt last night that SHOULD of been good...Now heres the lowdown on how it actually was.
We had a Drg, Rng, Rdm, Whm, Thf(useless) and Me the Tank.
We hunted for one hour and got about 1k...It was pathedic.
The WHM didnt know how to use Macros, the rdm thought curing himself
was a lot more important then curing me thus we were chaining Hares when
we could have easily been doing Snippers...I dont get it.
So later a little party rotation: Drg and Rng leave and we pickup a Japenses blm who I have
partied with and he is a REALLY cool guy aside from a good blm. And a RDM who
seemed to have a level head on his shoulder....
So for us to do Snippers it took 3 healers (even with the BLM there one thought it'd be best to nuke I dont understand rdms).
I found though that I am a GREAT tank.
The BLM could pull the mob off me but only when he mana dump'd thats pretty normal all around.
My BLM could of pulled any mob in Qufim off the tank if I decided too....
I am just hoping I can reach 15 in the long weekend we're gonna have so I can maybe hookup a good party in Korroloka...And also did anyone notice that NO ONE hunts near Mhaura? Whats the deal with that...They pack into Dunes and not touch it....I think Mhaura is an awesome leveling spot for 13-20(?) because its always so empty and has plenty of snippers.
Oh well...Soon I will be out of Dunes and into Qufim...With all the PS2 players....Thats when I should be seperated from the garbage into the valued....I am looking at spending 45k right now on jewelry alone...I might need to farm some more...Of course I do have about 10k worth of loot in my moghouse to sell I've just been to concerned with leveling to mess with it. |

Updates have been sparse but let me fill you in.
I AM SICK OF VALKRUM DUNES AND NEW PLAYERS!
One hour and 30 mins To get from 12-13.........
I cant find a good party for the life of me and my FULL equipment list and 85def w/axe+shield are doing little good.
Although I am loved for my pulling since I am a rare person that uses ranged. I also discovered that Voke > Boost > Boost > Voke will lock some SERIOUS hate...I am not CERTAIN boost pulls hate but I think so as the BLM and another voker couldnt pull the mob off me when using this teqnique.
But I am finally 13 and should be in a new grouping level instead of getting all the 10-12s.
I am trying to decide if I want bone armor+1s with the extra evasion or want to get some Lizard+1 gear for the extra def. I know for certain I need Balance Rings and VIT rings....I might need to start farming again soon my 50k is starting to flash before my eyes...of course I still have 10k in Tropical punches and 15k in current gear on my person so I might be ok till 25-30. |

well I am not an 11 monk working my way up to level 15-20 so I can play warrior to 30-40 w/o leveling sub again.
The reason I am going main war is because I LOVE GAX and enjoy tanking...Why not pld for tanking? Because Pld does not look enjoyable to me and GAX!
So I will be going perma warrior :) And if I dont stick with it well then I'll have a 20war, 20whm, 23blm, 15thf, 15mnk...Oi I know dunes so well now. |

My stupid ramblings are just from my fickleness. I am a BLM through and through at LEAST till 50..If I feel I want to change then I will switch to war/mnk/thf or something but hopefully I am still happy with my little hume BLM that I continue onward.
lvl 23 now and I nuke as hard as people 1-3 levels above me depending on gear. |

My BLM days seem over as it stands right now....I am trying to decide if Bard is the way I want to go or if I want to live the life of a PLD....I am leaning more towards brd though...
In any case I am leveling whm to 38 to taxi and for brd sub if I do indeed choose to go that route.
That means I'm selling all my gear on AH wooooo. |

Ok So Qufim isnt really that bad...Kind of fun actually...I had a great party last night consisted of: WHM, RNG, WAR, THF, WAR, RDM And I hit 22 and went halfway through it last night...We had a lot of downtime periods due to death because of a couple bad pulls...The poor rng was having a time of it...Kept linking Goblins and I kept having to Seal+Sleep them so we could kill the first one.
All in all it was nice and I was loved because of sleep/dmg..I've decided its time to powerlevel into the 40s since I have pretty much not made any long term friends/leveling buddies because I've been in 3-4 different level generations and not followed them (Because of my low level farming for equipment)
but now I am less worried about equipment and ready to just get all the spells I need and hit the 40s.
Oh and SE sucks for making the Mage's Tunic look like the low level tunic...I paid 50k for that thing I deserve to look like I'm wearing 50k Dont you think? |

| The Qufim Blues... |

I have totally caught the Qufim blues....I was in a total of 6-8 parties last night ALL of which were full of people (some who had advanced jobs) who couldnt play their job to save their life.....I am so ready to get out of Qufim already....I've had 2 good parties in total and that was amazing...But now its just ignorance.
I am hoping Kaz will solve this problem...Just got to get to 25 and I'll be OK!
On a good note though the +int is paying off I think as I nuke anywhere from 4-10 points higher then other BLMs in Qufim....I've still yet to see a Thunder MB though and I cant wait to...My Blizzard MBs hit for the 100s and my Thunder alone can hit Acestic Giants for 105+

Equipment is: Black Neckerchief (+1int), Yew Wand+1 (+4int/+4mnd), Mage's Tunic (+2int), Mist Silk Cape (+1mnd), Erm Rings x 2 (+4int)
Needed: Morian Talth(45k) Mage's Slacks(45-50k)
I am thinking I will wait on the Morian till 25 and farm for it when I farm for the rest of the spells...And I will probably sell my Mist Silk Cape for the Mage's Slacks right now since Slacks will last longer and Black Cape at 32-34 is +2int and less then 10k. |

| Spiny Spipi Rematch! |

So last night about 15 mins after I started farming (and after my rng buddy joined me which turned out great for both of us) I was clearing crawlers in one area and had just asked him to keep an eye on scan for Spipi...Well as I was speaking Spipi showed his ugly head and challenged me to a rematch!
the battle was easier this time as I had full mana+2hr+~140hp/200 he Spipi was no match for me and quickly buckled....I held my breath as the loot scrolled. . . . . . . .Spool of Silk Thread. . . . . . . . . . . . .Mist Silk Cape! I am now 1/2 on Spipi and me and my rng buddy plan to hit up Lizzy and the Monster Signa mob soon.

(using 15th/7whm) Last night I was farming in my normal circlular routine and was finishing up with a couple of crawlers on my screen...only had ~100hp left out of my 209 normal and it had been an hour or so since I started farming. I killed the first crawler on my screen and noticed a second up ahead...So like clockwork I SA'd and ran up and started the battle...The first hit I knew something was weird because I took only 1/10th health with a SA when normally I will one shot them...I look at the title of the Crawler and see its Spiny Spipi...WOW! I'm thinking...I am so dead...so I chill out and start to enjoy the battle just for fun thinking I was surely going to lose with my gimp'd health and only mana for 1 cure left...Well I waited until my health was ~60 and used perfect dodge...about this time Spipi had 3/4ths health. Perfect dodge went over great and evened out our HP so we were both evenly matched on the gauges. It was neck'n neck but even with Cocoon and my Heal I somehow(I think the mithkabobs helped) dodged 4-5 attacks and managed to kill him with 34health left. But I failed to get the cape which saddens me because It would of worked on my BLM very nicely till the 30s when I could replace it. Oh well I enjoyed winning as the underdog of the fight with the odds against me...
